You see the hood is slanted and normally gravity assists the water right off the front of the truck, however between speeds of 35 & 55 MPH the wind resistance is such that a puddle forms and wanders around my hood like some kind of apparition. If I slow down, the lower wind resistance and additional force from the brakes sends the goblin like apparition dangerously close to slipping off the front end to the road below. When I accelerate the little sprite races towards my windshield and as I approach 55 MPH it shudders and shakes as the force of the wind begins to separate the being into its individual parts and water droplets splatter across my windshield. 'Save the puddle' has become a favorite wintertime driving past time, so if you see me driving erratically in a rainstorm don't assume I'm just some asshole texting, I might be staring intently at my hood....
Luckily for all the other drivers on 580, it appears summer is here.

Quantify that activity and it may become a new olympic sport someday.
